Always follow manufacturer’s cleaning and disassembly instructions. All mix ratios may be modified if a stronger solution is desired. For comfort and safety use rubber gloves and eye protection.–
How to Backflush (each group head):
1. Insert blind filter in portafilter and add up to 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) of Cafiza® Powder. Insert portafilter into group head.
2. Activate brew cycle for 10 seconds. Stop 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times.
3. Remove portafilter. Activate brew cycle and rinse portafilter in stream of water from group head. Stop cycle.
4. Insert portafilter into group head. Repeat step (2) without Cafiza® Powder 5 times.
5. Make and discard a cup of espresso to ensure no residue remains.

How to Clean Portafilters and Filter Basket:
1. Soak filters and metal of portafilter for 30 minutes in 1 teaspoon (6 g) of Cafiza® Powder per 32 oz (1 L) of hot water.
2. Rinse with clean hot water.
TIP: Wet a cloth with the Cafiza® Powder solution and wipe down spray heads, then wipe clean with a fresh cloth. Caution: Solution may be very hot.

A delicate and mellow blend of roasted brown rice grains and tea, genmaicha is well known for its deep taste. The brown rice or genmai used to create this product was also harvested from Wazuka Town. As part of d:matcha’s on going project to revitalise the region, they started organic rice farming in 2021. Always popular in the winter for its warm and comforting aromas, the tea is well balanced, full flavored and smooth.When infused as a cold brew, the result is a refreshing brew. The natural aroma of the rice is also further enhanced in the absence of heat used during the steeping process. Genmaicha is suitable for those looking for a low caffeine tea drink.

How to enjoy this product as a hot drink:
1. Place one teaspoon (4g) of tea leaves in a teapot or infuser.2. Pour 100mL boiling water and steep for 30 seconds.
3. Once tea leaves look like they starting to open, pour the brewed tea over a strainer into your cup. Ensure the tea is poured till the last drop. Enjoy!
4. When finished, gently tap the teapot to evenly disperse the tea leaves. This allows the leaves to cool in preparation for the next brew.You can brew the tea leaves for up to 3 times.
How to enjoy this product as a cold drink:
1. Place approximately 15g of tea leaves into an infuser.
2. Add 1L (1000mL) of water.
3. Let the brew steep overnight, preferably in the refrigerator, for approximately 12 hours.
4. Before drinking, shake or stir the tea leaves up a bit to release more flavour and colour. You can also add ice if desired. Enjoy! -

$30.00In Japan, often in summer, tea is enjoyed in the form of “Mizudashi Sencha”, or “Cold Brew Sencha”. When brewed with cold water, the result is a drink with an extremely strong umami taste with lesser caffeine and catechin. The reason for this is because the tea leaves’ amino acids are more easily extracted, while catechin, which is responsible for biterness, is not. This makes the drink not only tasty but beneficial for your health by improving your immunity!
You can also enjoy sencha as a hot drink. Each purchase comes in a resealable pack.
How to enjoy this product as a hot drink:
First Brew – Sencha
1. Fill your teapot with two teaspoons (5g) of sencha
2. Pour boiling water into a cooling cup. You may use your teacup to cool the water. When the water is approximately 60°C to 65°C , gently pour 60ml into your teapot.
3. Wait for the tea to steep for 1 min.
4. With a tea strainer placed over your teacup, pour the brewed tea in. Ensure the tea is poured till the last drop.
5. When finished, gently tap the teapot to evenly disperse the tea leaves. This allows the leaves to cool in preparation for the next brew.Second Brew – Sencha
1. You will require 70ml of water at 80°C. Once the water is ready, pour it into the teapot.
2. You do not have to wait for the tea to steep. Pour the brewed tea immediately into your teacup. Gently tap the teapot to evenly disperse the tea leaves.Third Brew – Sencha
1. Bring a fresh pot of water to boil.
2. Once the water has boiled, immediately pour 70ml into your teapot. You do not have to wait for the tea to steep. Pour the brewed tea immediately into your teacup.How to enjoy this product as a cold drink:

2. Add 1L / one litre of soft water.

$38.00Yabukita variety is a ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha powder from d:matcha’s farm in Wazuka, Kyoto. Known for its well-balanced and clean flavour profile, yabukita is the most widely cultivated tea variety in Japan, accounting for approximately 75% of the country’s tea plantations.
Harvested in spring (known as the first harvest of the year) from their Ninose tea field located in Yubune, Wazuka Town, this field is known for its distinct taste and colour. These qualities are heavily attributed to the sandy properties of the field, a rarity in Wazuka, well known for its mountainous characteristics. All these distinct features come together, producing extremely ideal conditions for tea worthy to be used at a culinary level. The quality of this matcha however, is in actual fact that of a ceremonial grade. This means you can also enjoy it purely as a drink. Best recommended for all your baking needs!

Brewing Instructions:
1. Scoop 1.5-2 teaspoons (about 3-4 grams) of matcha powder for every 80-120ml cup of milk.
2. Sift your matcha powder into a bowl.
3. Pour 60ml of not boiling hot water (temp. about 80-90 degrees Celcius), and using your chasen, whisk the tea in a gentle circular motion for thin and smooth tea for about 10-15 seconds ensuring there are no clumps.
4. Add 1-2 teaspoons of sugar or sweetener (optional but recommended)
5. Carefully pour the whisked matcha into the milk. Optional – add foamed milk and sprinkle some matcha powder on top.
