Located in the Nyamagabe district of southern Rwanda, the Remera washing station brings in and refines approximately 800 tons of cherries grown by more than 3,000 small-scale farmers. The unique flavor is created by growing and washing with mineral-rich soil and water from the adjacent Nyugwe National Park on the Upper Nile River. A complex and deep fruitiness of refreshing kumquat and yuzu, followed by brown sugar sweetness and a lingering taste.
